We are back at it today with a great 8 game slate for FanDuel and I couldn't be happier to say some of our lineup predictions for them are on a three day winning streak, so listen to us, people! For quite a while the pondering question has been, "do I go for the punt and the top spots or do I play it safe and stay consistently in the cash line?" Luckily we will show you both ways today and hopefully make you some extra cash!
(5 stars means my top choice, if two people share it, take either or both)
TOP POINT GUARDS:
Chris Paul: $10,200
Paul is almost a sure thing for 40+ points, the man hasn't scored less than 40+ since February 7th! It's been nearly a month since his last performance under that mark and tonight he should have no problem surpassing that, his production with Griffin out has been spectacular and honestly he's an MVP candidate with no love from the media. Look for another 40+ from the state farm assist man!
Isaiah Thomas: $7,800*****
He went off last night against the Knicks. Dropping 52 fanduel points! The kid is a complete player on an extremely hot team right now and their number one option. Look for him to get 40+ points tonight against Kyrie Irving, whom isn't always the best defender. The Cavs also aren't the greatest in DvP point guards, where as the Celtics are 1st! Take Thomas and dump Irving, especially with Kevin Love back at it tonight
Ricky Rubio: $6,700*****
Rubio could be poised for a big night playing against the 5th worst defensive team versus point guards. On Tuesday, D'Angelo Russell scorched the nets for 39 points and while Rubio won't get you 40 points in a game he will get you 20 points and 15 assits and 10 rebounds. The Nets will struggle with Rubio and he's a top value tonight with the plethora of options at the positon. I would say pair him and Thomas together, together they could grab you anywhere between 80-90 points!
TOP SHOOTING GUARDS:
James Harden: $10,900
Harden is a hard choice with being nearly 11,000 dollars. You could find two SG who equal his salary that might bring you more points, unless he has one of his 50 or 60 point performances. They are playing Chicago today, who as of late are playing like the Lakers, although tonight they get Jimmy Butler back. How Butler will come out tonight and how long he'll play will definitely be an indicator of Harden's effectiveness. Tread lightly with your use of Harden.
Zach Lavine: $5,300*****
This might be a surprise to see his name after Harden's but his value tonight is incredibly high, he is playing a Nets squad who ranks near the bottom of the league in DvP against guards. He has been very consistent this last month and could put up a big night! A Rubio/Lavine combo tonight might differentiate you in the pack tonight against a horrible guard defense!
Jimmy Butler: $8,700
He's sort of a risk tonight coming off of injury. The Bulls are saying he has gone through "strenuous workouts" in order to get game ready and have claimed he is on no restrictions for playing time. I would say if you want to take a possible risk he might be under owned due to the risk. I would wait a few games to grab him.
TOP SMALL FORWARDS:
LeBron James: $9,800
LeBron is going to get you the points you need for his price 40+ is almost a sure thing with him and if you want to take him do it! He is playing a small team in Boston who is horrendous at guarding in the post and lane, expect to see a great rebounding night from LeBron.
Carmelo Anthony: $8,900
Anthony has been playing great basketball as of late and tonight he takes on the Pistons. Detroit has been great this year guarding the three spot but Anthony has been hot. I'd still consider taking him, especially being a much cheaper option than LeBron.
Paul George: $8,500*****
PG-13 went off last night and expect it again today! He is facing the fourth worst team in the league against the SF position. I would say take him over the latter two!
TOP POWER FORWARDS:
Anthony Davis: $9,800
He's the most expensive tonight and is a high risk, high reward. He could have a good night but is facing the front line of Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert. Since his huge outburst for 90 fantasy points, he's been a little shaky. I'd probably stay away tonight but he is a superstar and there is a chance he might perform as such.
Kevin Love: $7,000 *****
He is my top pick tonight as the Cavs take on one of the worst big man defenders in the league. They are in the bottom ten of DvP against power Forwards and Love is coming off of a rest night. At 7,000 dollars he should be your top choice for value as well!
TOP CENTERS:
Demarcus Cousins: $10,800
At the price Cousins bares he may be a bad play tonight, as the Spurs are third best in the league defensively against big men. That's not saying Cousins will have one of his 35 and 15 games but the Spurs may be able to keep him in check. Be careful with him as he may not return value.
Dwight Howard: $8,000*****
Superman is playing one of the WORST defenses in the league guarding opposing big men! He is an elite choice, and at 8,000 dollars, cheaper than quite a few other options. He's another 5-star option at Center. Expect the game to be high scoring and expect Howard to play a part. I'm going to be bold and say Howard could put up a 50+ spot on the Bulls!
Karl Anthony-Towns: $8,900*****
The T-Wolves take on the Nets and anyone is a good matchup against Brooklyn, especially the big man position.
He's my top pick tonight for the position due to his upside and matchup!
Rudy Gobert: $6,700*****
Gobert is a great take tonight as he's taking on the Pelicans who are 2nd worst in the league against the C position! Expect a great game from him including a barrage of rebounds and blocks!
